Seven Signs of Luck in your Life

Seven Signs of Luck in your Life

We’ve all heard the different superstitions before.

If you find a penny on the ground or a four leaf clover you should pick it up because it will bring good luck. The number seven is lucky, and you’d probably be happy to stand under a double rainbow as it forms in the sky.

There are many different objects that have become symbols of good luck. Many of us would not describe ourselves as “lucky” simply because we feel that good twists of fate or happy coincidences rarely happen to us. With St. Patrick’s Day coming up, Bread and Butter would like to remind everyone that being lucky comes from more than just seeing 11:11 on the clock every night. Here are seven signs of luck in your life:

Family

Family can mean different things to different people. Maybe your family is just your mom. Maybe it’s your mom, your dad, grandparents, and an infinite number of cousins. Maybe you have an adopted brother, or people in your life that you consider your family even though you are not related by blood. Whatever the case may be, you’re lucky to have a family - people who are going to love you unconditionally through thick and thin, no matter what.

Friends

Having people with whom you can share your passions, interests, and struggles is important. Your friends are the ones you meet up with on the weekend to grab a bite to eat and catch up on the roller coaster that is life. Whether you have two best friends in the whole world, or a wide array of individuals with distinct personalities and opinions that have helped you grow and become the person you are today, you’re one of the lucky ones if you have some good friends.

Partners

Your significant other, your best friend, your other half. This just might be the most important person in your life. Sure, you might fight sometimes. You might get on each others nerves so much that you become exhausted. Despite all of that, if you have someone who is continually putting in the effort to create and grow a relationship, someone who treats you well and encourages you in everything that you do, you’re (you guessed it) lucky.

Health

One thing that you should feel lucky to have is your health. If you are able to wake up every morning and do the simple things that we take for granted like walk, talk, hear, and see, then you’re more lucky than you may have ever thought.

Food

Who doesn’t love food? Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert - we love it all! At multiple  times during the day we can indulge in delicious meals, snacks, and savoury desserts. There are many people in the world who go hungry because they are not fortunate enough to have access to food. If your stomach is full at the end of the day, you’re a very lucky person indeed.

Shelter

A home, for many people, is a place of sanctuary. Being able to unwind, put your feet up, and lay down on a couch after a long day of work is a luxury. Feel grateful that you have four walls and a roof to keep the cold wind and snow away.

Employment

We’ve all been there. We had a bad day at work, or we didn’t get enough sleep, and we’re annoyed. We’re annoyed at having to show up at eight in the morning to mindlessly sit at a desk and type away all day. However, a job provides you with security. It provides you with the resources necessary to sustain yourself and your family. Remember, if you have a job, you’re lucky.
